“It seemed like he just wanted to ‘know that he was loved.’” Sometimes, extreme outbursts—like, “I love you more than anyone in the world”—can be a good way to communicate the depth of your love, and to stop him in his tracks. The impact can be magnified when these words come from someone who doesn’t usually say “I love you” very often.
