He starts to talk about how his diet isn’t going well, and you reply, “I’ve been trying to diet as well but . . .” Or he tells you about his travel plans, and you say, “I’ve been to that country before; it’s beautiful!” It’s nice to be the center of attention every now and then, but when your man is speaking, it’s often wise to close your mouth and open your ears.
