“Who do you think you are, my teacher?! Let me wear whatever I want in private!” If you give him fashion advice, expressing things the wrong way can be oppressive. Start by complimenting his style: “You’ve got your own fashion sense, and that’s great.” After you’ve done that, you can try making casual requests like, “Why don’t you try wearing this kind of stuff too?”
