1. Ask him to help you find something: “Did I leave my earrings over there?”
“Sure, it’s annoying to deal with, but I can’t just run off with her stuff.” If your request relates to the typical aftermath of a relationship, then he’s pretty much forced to answer. Watch your timing, though, because he might get suspicious if you call looking for something of yours months after the fact.
