“She is so nurturing; she gives me peace of mind.” Your instinct to be sensitive to his needs provides him with a safe environment to relax in. Don’t go overboard, however. Cutting a steak into bite-sized pieces is babying him, not nurturing him! He will feel suffocated. You need to draw a line and let him be independent too.
