1. He wants to draw your attention to the success he has at work.
Some guys mention that they’ve been busy in the hopes that women will think they are successful. “I want her to think that I manage a very busy schedule,” explained a guy in his 20s. Many guys rely on this tactic when they’ve just entered the workforce, or when they’re talking to women who are still in school. If you notice that someone is trying to get your attention in this way, it helps to boost his ego to let him do so.
